Introduction

This is a resource that summarizes the differences in architecture that must be considered when localizing DOS applications developed for PC/AT compatible machines to NEC's PC-9800 series.

This article is for the application developers for the PC-9800 series and is a resource to localize software to the PC-9800
series. Thus, use of this resource for something other than the above is prohibited.

Presently, the PC-9800 series can be divided into two types: PC-9801XX and PC-9821XX series.
In this resource, "PC-9800" is used to describe both types.
